Course Description
The course is designed to provide construction workers with information they need to know to recognize fall hazards in the workplace and to properly utilize equipment to prevent falls.
Objectives
  • • Residential construction employees will be able to recognize proper usage of support devices for stabilization of suspension scaffolds.
  • • Students will be able to understand what the federal and state requirements are regarding components utilized for suspended scaffold applications.
  • • Students will understand how to properly make connections to roofs, floors, and counterweights.
  • • Students will understand how to inspect suspension ropes and determine defective ropes requiring replacement.
  • • Students will be able to understand the requirements for strength and usage of suspension ropes for suspended scaffolds.
