Course Description
The course is designed to provide construction workers with information they need to know to recognize fall hazards in the workplace and to properly utilize equipment to prevent falls.
Objectives
  • •Residential construction employees will be able to recognize the types of equipment needed to prevent injury from falling objects.
  • •Students will be able to understand what the federal and state requirements are regarding rules and conditions to follow for use of screens as falling object protection.
  • •Students will understand how to properly utilize fall protection equipment such as guardrails, debris nets, and catch platforms.
  • •Students will understand how to abate fall hazards in the work area by means of canopy structures.
  • •Students will be able to understand the strength and installation requirements for assorted safety devices to negate injury from falling objects.
