Course Description
The course is designed to provide construction workers with information they need to know to recognize fall hazards in the workplace and to properly utilize equipment to prevent falls.
Objectives
  • •Residential construction employees will be able to recognize which procedures or fall protection device to use based upon the activity being conducted.
  • •Students will be able to understand what the federal and state requirements are regarding specific fall protection equipment and methods.
  • •Students will understand how to properly utilize fall protection equipment such as Personal Fall Arrest/ Fall Restraint, Safety Net Systems, and Guardrails.
  • •Students will understand how to abate fall hazards in the work area by administrative means.
  • •Students will be able to understand the requirements for preventing employee injury due to falling objects.
