Course Description
Residential Construction/ Scaffold Platform Construction is offered to residential homebuilders and their employees via a federal OSHA grant. The course is designed to provide construction workers with information they need to know to recognize fall hazards in the workplace and to properly utilize equipment to prevent falls.
Objectives
  • • Residential construction employees will be able to recognize the nature of common fall hazards in the work area.
  • • Students will be able to understand what the federal and state requirements are regarding fall protection safety.
  • • Students will understand how to properly utilize fall protection equipment such as Personal Fall Arrest/ Fall Restraint, Safety Net Systems, and Guardrails.
  • • Students will understand how to abate fall hazards in the work area.
  • • Students will be able to understand the requirements for fall protection plans.
