Course Description
The course is designed to provide construction workers with information they need to know to recognize fall hazards in the workplace and to properly utilize equipment to prevent falls.
Objectives
  • • Residential construction employees will be able to recognize which procedures to utilize to ensure safe work practices when working from scaffolding.
  • • Students will be able to understand what the federal and state requirements are regarding rated capacities and structural integrity of scaffolds.
  • • Students will understand how to properly utilize scaffolds when working near exposed and energized power lines.
  • • Students will understand how to utilize spliced eyes and wire rope clips.
  • • Students will be able to understand how to prevent swaying or swinging loads.
