Course Description
The course is designed to provide construction workers with information they need to know to recognize fall hazards in the workplace and to properly utilize equipment to prevent falls.
Objectives
  • • Residential construction employees will be able to recognize how to properly use portable and attached ladders to access scaffolds.
  • • Students will be able to understand what the federal and state requirements are regarding scaffold stairway towers.
  • • Students will understand how to properly utilize stair rails, top rails, and handrails.
  • • Students will understand general requirements for ramps and walkways used to access scaffolding.
  • • Students will be able to understand the requirements for making direct access to or from another surface.
