Course Description
The course is designed to provide construction workers with information they need to know to recognize fall hazards in the workplace and to properly utilize equipment to prevent falls.
Objectives
  • • Residential construction employees will be able to understand the fall protection requirements as they apply to specified types of scaffolds.
  • • Students will be able to understand what the federal and state requirements are regarding specific scaffold type use.
  • • Students will understand how to properly utilize such scaffold types as pole, fabricated, frame, and outrigger scaffolds.
  • • Students will understand specific requirements related to aerial lifts.
  • • Students will be able to understand the requirements for using stilts and crawling boards.
