The course is designed to provide construction workers with information they need to know to recognize fall hazards in the workplace and to properly utilize equipment to prevent falls. 

• Residential construction employees will be able to recognize how to properly use portable and attached ladders to access scaffolds.
• Students will be able to understand what the federal and state requirements are regarding scaffold stairway towers.
• Students will understand how to properly utilize stair rails, top rails, and handrails.
• Students will understand general requirements for ramps and walkways used to access scaffolding.
• Students will be able to understand the requirements for making direct access to or from another surface.
